1. Purpose

This Limitation & Document Access Policy explains the periods during which Codingfigs retains platform-generated documents, the limitations on claims, and the obligations of users to preserve their own copies of documents issued to them. This policy is governed by the Limitation Act, 1963 (India) and applicable data retention principles under the Information Technology Act, 2000.

2. Document Retention by Codingfigs

Codingfigs retains the following documents for the periods specified:

3. User's Obligation to Preserve Documents

Users are strongly advised and bear sole responsibility to:

  • Download and maintain personal copies of all certificates immediately upon issuance.
  • Save payment receipts and GST invoices at the time of each transaction.
  • Export or retain copies of any submissions or evaluations they wish to keep.
  • Preserve copies of all legal document acceptances and confirmations for their own records.

Codingfigs makes reasonable efforts to maintain document availability during the retention periods above, but indefinite access is not guaranteed. Platform decommissioning, technical failures, or force majeure events may affect availability.

4. Limitation of Claims — Limitation Act, 1963

The following limitation periods under the Limitation Act, 1963 apply to claims relating to Codingfigs's services:

Claims filed after the applicable limitation period has expired may not be entertained and may be time-barred.

5. Re-issuance of Documents

  • Re-issuance of academy certificates is available free of charge during the retention period, provided the certificate was validly issued.
  • Re-issuance requests after the retention period may be declined or may attract an administrative fee at Codingfigs's discretion.
  • Duplicate payment receipts are available within the account dashboard for the retention period specified above.
  • Re-issuance of any document after account deletion is not possible.

6. Requests for Document Access

To request access to retained documents or records:

  • Academy certificates & enrollments: Access via your account dashboard or certificate verification page.
  • Payment receipts: Available in your account's payment history.
  • Legal document acceptance records: Contact legal@codingfigs.com.
  • All other records: Submit a written request to privacy@codingfigs.com with your registered email, nature of request, and document details.

Document access requests are processed within 14 business days.

7. Post-Limitation Period

After the applicable retention or limitation period:

  • Codingfigs may purge stored data without further notice.
  • No obligation exists to provide access to, re-issue, or certify documents that are no longer retained.
  • Any claim relating to a purged document will not be actionable against Codingfigs unless the purging itself was in violation of a specific legal obligation.

8. Force Majeure

Codingfigs shall not be liable for the loss of any document or data resulting from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, cyberattacks, third-party infrastructure failures, government orders, or acts of war.
