1. Nature of Services — Important Notice
Codingfigs is a Legal Process Outsourcing (LPO) and legal technology platform. It is not a law firm and does not practise law.
This notice is issued in compliance with the Bar Council of India Rules framed under the Advocates Act, 1961, and applicable guidelines on legal outsourcing services. All users and clients of Codingfigs must read and understand this notice before engaging any of our services.
2. What We Provide (LPO Services)
Codingfigs provides the following categories of legal support services as a Legal Process Outsourcing entity:
- Legal Research: Case law research, statutory analysis, comparative law studies, legislative history research, and preparation of research memoranda. All research outputs are informational and do not constitute legal advice.
- Legal Documentation: Drafting, review, and redlining of contracts, agreements, MOUs, NDAs, affidavits, and other legal documents as instructed by the client or their retained counsel. Document drafts are provided as templates or working drafts and must be reviewed by a qualified advocate or lawyer before execution.
- Compliance Advisory: Analysis of regulatory requirements, preparation of compliance checklists, audit reports, and regulatory mapping. Compliance advisory is provided as informational assistance and does not constitute a legal opinion.
- Legal Process Assistance: Support services including document management, due diligence support, contract management, legal data analytics, and administrative legal support.
- Legal Technology Services: Development and deployment of legal technology platforms, AI-assisted legal tools, and compliance monitoring systems.
- Legal Staffing: Placement and management of legal professionals for in-house, project-based, and retainer engagements.
- Legal Education: Online courses, workshops, and training programmes on legal technology and related subjects through the Codingfigs Academy.
3. What We Do NOT Provide
The following services fall exclusively within the domain of enrolled advocates and licensed lawyers under the Advocates Act, 1961 and are not provided by Codingfigs:
- Appearance before any court, tribunal, quasi-judicial authority, or regulatory body.
- Litigation representation or conduct of proceedings.
- Filing of plaints, petitions, writ applications, or any court documents on behalf of a client in the capacity of an advocate.
- Rendering formal legal opinions that constitute advice on specific legal rights and obligations.
- Providing vakalatnama or any power of attorney on behalf of a client in court proceedings.
4. Referral to Empanelled Advocates
Where a client's matter requires litigation representation or court appearances, Codingfigs may, upon request, refer the client to verified and empanelled advocates who are members of the relevant Bar Council. Such referrals are provided as a professional courtesy. Codingfigs does not charge any referral fee from advocates, nor does it form part of any fee-sharing arrangement prohibited under Bar Council rules.
5. No Attorney-Client Relationship
Use of Codingfigs's services does not create an attorney-client relationship between the user and Codingfigs or any of its employees, contractors, or associated professionals. Any privileged communication protections applicable in an attorney-client relationship do not apply to communications with Codingfigs.
6. Bar Council Compliance
Codingfigs operates in strict compliance with:
- Bar Council of India Rules, Part VI (Rules Governing Advocates)
- Bar Council of India Rules on Standards of Professional Conduct and Etiquette
- Applicable state Bar Council regulations
- Guidelines on Legal Process Outsourcing as issued or recognised by the Bar Council of India from time to time
Advocates empanelled with or engaged through Codingfigs remain solely responsible for their own compliance with the Bar Council rules, including rules on fees, conduct, and advertising.
7. Limitation of LPO Services
All research, documentation, and compliance outputs delivered by Codingfigs are prepared to the best of our knowledge and professional capacity. However:
- They do not substitute for independent legal advice from a licensed advocate or lawyer.
- Clients are strongly advised to have all drafted documents reviewed and executed under the supervision of their own retained legal counsel.
- Codingfigs accepts no liability for any loss arising from reliance on our research or documentation outputs without independent legal review.
